Attorney Eric Meredith Discusses the Ongoing Changes in the Legal System as a Result of COVID-19


Family law attorney Eric Meredith talks court delays, custody, divorce and division of assets, settlement negotiations, trial prep and more, as WBTV tracks the ongoing changes within the NC court system due to COVID-19. Eric also explains the Dispute Resolution Commission section of the Bar’s recent mandate and what it will mean for pending cases.

In response to the question on what types of cases will be impacted by the DRC mandate to reschedule or hold mediation remotely, Eric states, "any cases involving custody, child support, property distribution, alimony cases. Anything subsequent to divorce is what we’re talking about."
