- In person: Visit the CMPD Records Division at 601 E. Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Bring a valid photo ID and complete the “Request for Motor Vehicle Crash Report” form. Reports obtained in person are free of charge.
- Online: Crash reports are available online through the CMPD’s Crash Reports System or via LexisNexis for a convenience fee of $6.00. Reports usually become available online 3-5 business days after the accident
